Defensive letdown

Today, the Washington Football team defense refused to do basic things. Tackling the ball carriers for the opposition has become a real problem for this team. No one person can handle errant passes by the opposing quarterback. The other thing that the defense cannot do is cover receivers from opposing teams. What happened to the coverage people. One of our prize cornerbacks is being burned like toast and he lacks the fire to make plays. If you are a number 1 draft pick, play with some emotion. As for the rest of the defense no one stands out as ready to play. Maybe we need to go back to basics blocking and tackling, because there was none of that exercised today.
