The old practice "tip drill" helped the Washington Football Club win another NFC
contest. Just when the Arizona Cardinals tried to tie the score, the defensive backfield
used a version of the "tip drill" to intercept Kurt Warner's pass and returned it for
forty yards to set up the offense deep in Cardinal territory. The offense led by Jason
Campbell took full advantage by scoring a touchdown that put the game away.

West Coast In NFC East
The offensive stratagem of Coach Jim Zorn had it's best showing in the regular season opener for the
Washington Football Club. Jason Campbell amasses over 300 yards passing
and the offensive line blocked well enough to get Clinton Portis over 90 yards rushing and 2 touchdowns.
Kudos to the rookie Horton for coming up with three turnovers in a substitute role...The regular starter
better watch out!!!

Where's the O?
I watched the Redskins play what was supposed to be a patchwork NY Giants Defensive line and I couldn't help but wonder what in the world were the Redskins doing? How many times did Jason Campbell pass 3-5 yards short of the first down on 3rd dwon. They even had a 4th and 13 and he completed a 4 yard pass late in the game when there was still a glimmer of hope. If this is the kind of offense Jim Zorn has implemented then I have to wonder how many games the Redskins can win this season. One of the commentators asked when they were going to pass to the TE Cooley and I have to agree that he was not used nearly enough. The WR's also need to run a little longer patterns. Did anyone notice the mechanics on Jason Campbell's throws? I have seen HS QBs with better form. The Redskins better do something quick or they will be lucky to win 4 games this year.
It's gonna be a long season!!!!
The Redskins raelly didn't look good at all yesterday. They looked like a 6-10 team that will be getting man handled every game. They looked like they couldn't get it right and that they were confused and also frustrated. I hope for their sake they can get it together so that they can win some games because if not it's gonna be a long season....
Lights Out

Expectations High
Coach Zorn has high expectations for his team tonight against the Super Bowl Champs. The offense has been ineffective in the last
two exhibition games. Jason Campbell will have his hands full with the dreaded pass rush, but the Coach has placed a lot of confidence in the young quarterback, so look for good decisions and sharp passes. On defense, whomever starts better be up to putting pressure on Eli Manning, because he has been sharp in the preseason.
